Sept. 3, 1612. [p. 120] m. Martha Palmer, daughter of William Palmer, about 1637.She d. Feb. 7, 1700/01.No will and no record of administration of her estate.The record of her death is:'Mrs. Martha Sherman wife of Capt. Jno: Sherman Deced the 7th : of February 1700' (Watertown Records 2nd Book p. 21).
William Palmer, the father of Martha, came to Watertown about 1636, probably from Great Ormsby, Norfolk, England.He was made freeman Mar. 13, 1638/39 (Col. Records of Mass., Vol I, p. 375).He afterwards lived in Newbury and Hampton, Mass., and died in 1647."
Depending on how much information you need, you might wish to locate a copy of this book in a library near you.My aunt used this book in research for many years and noted some errors, however, many primary records are cited, which indicates a good degree of accuracy, and the inaccuracies she found may have been transcription errors.
