I might know a little bit as to the origins of this Shearman group. Most interesting to me is the first name of this individual. Her name was Heathy. My guess is that this is some sort of feminized version of the name Beheathland.Robert Beheathland was one of the original folks to come to Jamestown with John Smith. He had a daughter who had decendants and I am of this line.Interestingly the Beheathland name was carried on as a female name in a few of the lines and Heathy was often a nickname of sorts that I have seen since Beheathland is obviously a little bulky.I would love to know a bit more about this family.I am also descended from a Sarah Shearman with this same line. These Shearman's were of Lancaster Co., VA.I would love to learn a bit more about this crowd. There was a John Shearman and Mildred Edwyn who had descendants that ended up in Caswell Co., NC and Claiborne Co., TN.
