I found a 1900 census for Chicago Ill. Cook Co. South Town Twp.It does say parents for both Earnest and Julia were born in Sweden,Sherman Ernst age30 born Aug.1869 in Iowa married 7 years Julia age 30 Aug.1869 Sweden Eddie 6 Feb. 1894 Ill. male Lydia 4 Sept.1890 Ill. Female Ber___rd 2 Feb.1898 Ill. MaleIt also shows Julia came to this country in 1888 and had been here 12 years, so they married in this country. Here is a birth record Possibly for the 3RD child on the census That says his mothers maiden name was BENSON
