Copied from previous post (Some of the SHerlocks reside in Chesterfield, England - descendents of John and Margaret Sherlock (nee Mulligan) who married on 6th October 1909 in Dover, England. They had 10 children and I beleive they lived in a place called Lumcloon - next to Monasteraden village.
John Sherlock was in the British Marines - 1902-1907.
Their son Thomas Sherlock left Lumcloon and married Alice Brimelow in Stavely, Chesterfield - they had six children.
There was an Edward Sherlock who was born in 1844 and died 1914, he was from Lumcloon.)
Eddward Sherlock born in 1844 was my great great grand father. Thomas was my great Uncle.
John Sherlock was Thomas's brother.
