Hi John. Thank you for that information which I was unaware of.My father was Richard and they came from Doon.
I know some of the family went to England mostly Manchester and also to America, Cleveland,New York and Chicago.
I am hoping someone out there will be able to help with the Kildare side. John was the one to come West with his wife Bridget. Two family members were executed because they refused to give up their property (they were made an example of) and are buried in Bodenstown Cemetary outside Naas, Kildare. A third was sentenced to be deported to Van Diemans Land now Australia ,but managed to jump ship and escaped to Ruane in France.
Best regards
Mary
