Juantia - Thank you for the follow-up. I noticed that I made a mistake in my original posting. Lymon was considerably younger than his wife and I stated it the other way around. I have since found the following marriage information for Lymon and Elizabeth. http://www.calarchives4u.com/marriage/sutter/sutt-k-q.htm Sutter County, California Marriage Records GROOM: Nestell, Lymon BRIDE: Donald, Elizabeth DATE: 1 Jan 1902 I also found the following newspaper article that might have a connection to McDonald. The Aspen Times Weekly June 29 - July 6, 2001 Aspen's Past: 25/50/100 years ago June 1901 [In the week preceding the Fourth of July celebration, locals have always been concerned about fire. The Times reported this news item before printing a reminder to people to be extremely careful during the big celebration.] Fire broke out at the Tenderfoot Ranch yesterday. The ranch is situated about nine miles up Castle Creek. Lyman Nestell and Edward McDonald were working in the meadow not far away, but they were unable to do anything effective toward putting the fire out. Mrs. McDonald made a desperate effort to save some things and managed to save a few quilts, but all the rest of the contents of the house were consumed. Even the clothing of all of them except the garments they had on were burned. Mrs. McDonald did not even have a sunbonnet left and was obliged to tie her apron over her head when she came to town last night. Regards, Jerry Notify Administrator about this message?
