Sorry to be so long in responding. I do not know of the legacy of Henrietta Dinkins. Understand that she was Mother Jules' mother and was from Sumter, SC.
I do know that Mother Jule tried to establish a connection to the Jennings estate. I can remember her talking about it when I was between 6 and 12 years old. It was my understanding that she traced her lineage back to England but lost the connection there.
I was not aware that the question about the estate shook up a nation. As far as remembering any comments that she made, I likely would have to be in a conversation with someone talking about her and various events in order to "trigger" the memory process. We relatives and just about everybody that knew her had the utmost respect and love for her. She surely did care for me.
