As far as I know, all my ancestors have passed away. My great grandmother, Julia Sherard Kornegay, used to tell me all kinds of info when I was a little lad. She died before I came of an age where I would be interested in genealogy. Consequently, I do not recall a mention of John Holmes Sherard. I also do not think that she mentioned a daughter out of wedlock. If you find the location of the Sherard cemetary, I would be interested in visiting it. Do you recall that the family owned Bluffport, AL? Also, do you have any knowledge of any connection with the Legares or Glovers around Demopolis and Forkland, AL? They owned several plantations in that area. (Rosemount and Strawberry Hill are two of them)
