Mine started in England then went Tipperary, Ireland then to Cumberland CO, NJ, as part of the Fenwick Colony, in the middle to late 1600’s. My particular line finally left Cumberland about 1840 or so, then traveled to Ohio, married then to Illinois married again and died there. His daughter, G W’s sister, Anna E ,became my g g g Grandmother, and she and her family settled in Missouri. If you can find a copy of “History and Genealogy of Fenwick's Colony”, it has a lot of info on the Sheppard line. Maybe you can find someone back further than 1845. Or if you are a member at Ancestry.com you can look at the book all you want on line. Good luck.

Brenda
