I'm researching the shepherd family in Oakland. Father was John A Shepherd and his Paris born wife was Catherine Shepherd He had two daughter's, Violet(b. 1883, d 1911), who married Thomas Corey and another daughter of John and Catherine Shepherd who became Mrs K Powell.
Would be interested in exchanging more information on these and other Shepherd's in California.
Last name is spelled Shepherd, but might also be Shephard or some other variation.
