Hi... I'm searching information on that couple for a while too.. Today, I found a lot of things, but very bizarre... Isabelle Langlois was born in Henriville, Iberville County, Qc, Can... date of birth: février 1837. Her father is Flavient Langlois, mother: Sophie Forand. I found brothers and sisters (Flavient, Clémence, Émilie, Geneviève, Marie, Palmire and Philomène). Here what I found very bizarre. Isabelle married Étienne St-Jean, january 7th 1856 in Granby, Shefford, Qc, Can.. I found 4 children. 1. Joseph St-Jean, b. 17 october 1856 Granby, Shefford 2. Étienne St-Jean, b. 13 september 1858, Granby, Shefford 3. Phobee St-Jean, b. 24 january 1863, Grnby, Shefford So, the Chabot or Shepard are basicaly (St-Jean). Why?? Don't know.. Maybe the Shepard comes from the county Shefford ?? I know that they went to the USA, so maybe they told people that they were from Shefford, and they changed their surname. But after back in Canada, why changing again, and for Chabot ??? A lot of questions.. I can't find parents of Étienne St-Jean, but on the marriage records, I can read that his fathe is Étienne St-Jean roo, but the mother's name is unreadable.... That's what I found.. I gave these informations to a contact, Claude Chabot, who is the president of the Chabot's family in Canada.. He was searching the information for a while.... The only thing I don't understand is why it's writ CT on the census, like you said... Notify Administrator about this message?
