I have a Captain John Shelton (1666-1726 son of John (1648-1706) and Jane Shelton of Virginia). This John was married to Lettice Ball abt 1686 and had at least the following children: Captain Thomas Shelton and John Shelton. This John was also married to Mary Watts.
I also have a John Shelton who died 1725 in Hanover, Virginia. I don't have a spouse or his parents listed; however, I have the following children: Captain John Shelton, David, Joseph, William, Samuel, Thomas, Mary, and Ann.
Since their (the two Johns) death dates are so close, and both had a child name Thomas and John, I am wondering if they are the same person.
