I just discovered that Ezekiel Henderson Shelton Jr. married Elizabeth Mason in Wayne Co., Kentucky in 1828. So the Ezekiel Shelton on p.12 of the 1850 Stokes Co., NC Census cannot be the son of Ezekiel Henderson Shelton. This Ezekiel m. Nancy Abbott on 18 August 1815 in Stokes, Nc. Does anyone know who his parents were?
