The year of Second Virginia Charter was 1609. Do you think there is any chance that this Crown debtor was our Ralph, or perhaps his father?

One researcher, after reading your research, opined that perhaps our Ralph was a shipper's agent sent by his employer to facilite trade. There was another Shelton who shipped goods in and out of Virginia during this same time as that name appears on cargo lists.

I know, I am grasping at straws...
