Rosetta Shellhouse Saxton -- possibly of Holland
I'm trying to trace my foremothers -- which at 150 years back becomes difficult. According my great-aunt, Maureen Bryce, Rosetta Shellhouse was born in Holland and lived to be 102 years old. Apparently she married a man named Saxton (I don't know the first name) and they had a daughter, Mary who married a Thomas Hackney. Mary and Thomas had a daughter on 6 January 1863 named Myra, but I don't know where. By some indications, the family was in Missouri. Myra was my Great-great-grandmother.
Myra married Franklin Pierce Willmeth and had a daughter, Margaret, born 18 October 1891 in Troy, Kansas. That's really the first solid piece I have.
If any of this sounds familiar, I'd like to hear from you.I'd especially like to know when & where Mary Saxton and her mother, Rosetta Shellhouse were born.
Thank you.
