Am seeking information on Susan A. Shellhouse who married Nathaniel Arthur. They probably came from the Randolph Co., GA area. Two children, Sarah Eugenia Arthur and Jack Arthur moved to the Leake Co., MS area. According to her gravestone, Sarah Eugenia was born about 1855. A N. Arthur enlisted in the GA Infantry of the Confed. army from Terrell Co.,GA, and was paroled at Appomattox Courthouse. Isaac Shellhouse and Nancy Wells from Barnwell, SC had a daughter named Sarah Matilda, born 1833, but she married Henry Strickland 11/1853 in Randolph Co., GA. Another researcher found Susan in the 1860 Randolph Co. GA census in the household of N. Arthur. A Susan A. Shellhouse was found in the 1850 census of Barnwell Co., GA, living in the home of Thomas Jones. Am interested particularly in the ancestors of Susan and Nathaniel, but would like to confirm their primary descendents as well.
