Isaac Shellhouse was said to be a German who
jumped ship at Charleston, SC and lived in
Aiken/Barnwell District. He had daughter,
Caroline "Carrie" Shellhouse who married
Granberry B. Cushman in Aiken County and is
buried at old Shaw's Fork Cemetery near home
of Barbara Langdon (Author of SC books).
The Cushman family was of the Mayflower in
1620 at Plymouth.
