I just found this site. I am Eddie G. Shell decendant of John Casper Shell - great grandson of George Washington Shell(buried at mahomet cemetary in Burnet Co. Tx.), Grandson of Bascom Lee Shell(Burnet County Texas), son of William F. Shell of Burnet County. George Washington Shell enlisted from Caldwell County in July 1861 with several brothers (James, George). He fought at Gettysburg, captured at the Battle of Bristoe Station, sent to The Old Washington Prison. I believe two of his brothers died during the war.

I would like to communicate with decendants of John Casper Shell. I have some research. Eddie Shell
