Joan, I cant help on Ruth but I thought I would ask you about the R.I. Sheldons if you dont mind. I am working my family tree back and I am stuck at my great-grandfather Joseph Sheldon from R.I. (I think Providence or Pawtucket around Aug. 1854. Do you know where I might get more info (ie census, birth etc records)? or maybe someone else who is looking at these times/places? Any help would be appreciated. Thxs
