Ties to GENE SHELDON (1908-1982), Actor

I am interested in learning more about the ancestry of actor Gene Sheldon, who was on the show "Zorro" and appeared in a number of films. I know he was born in Columbus, OH, and that his parents were Ada & Earl Sheldon. Since my ancestors settled in Southeastern & Central OH in the early 1800's & I was born there, I was wondering whether I would be able to find a connection to Gene Sheldon.
