Thank you Jack! I've gone back and read other notes of yours regarding Thomas Sheldon and other lines and I have to say that your research is a breath of fresh air! I started researching when I was 12 years old and have gathered quite a large family tree (only a small portion of which is on Ancestry) and I do try to back up what I find with documentation. But even I, in my zeal at finding some interesting connection to a royal family or what have you, have made some large errors which I am currently working to correct.
So far I have found some major errors that are widely accepted, such as the Stafford's of New England being descended from the Stafford's, Duke's of Buckingham which now seems unlikely. You could also say that are several problem's with Henry Wolcott Sheldon's famous genealogies - so I'm trying to work generation by generation to re-establish my connection back to Rhode Island. And with a lack of notes, it's hard to say where he obtained large portions of his information. Perhaps we could be of some assistance to each other :)
