George A. Sheldon and Sarah Avery

I have now found several references to George A. Sheldon and Sarah Avery as the parents of my great great grandfather, Arthur M. Sheldon (1834, NH) and his siblings, Henry Howard Sheldon (1841 Orford, NH) and Martha Elizabeth Sheldon Miller (1839 Orford, NH), all of Greenbush Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Today I have found the mention in the 1918 history "The Descendants of Thomas Wellman of Lynn Massachusetts" under the entry for Henry's son-in-law, Edward Zuri Wellman.

In Henry's obituary, brother John Sheldon of Omaha, Nebraska and a brother James are also mentioned. This is consistent with 2 of the children listed with George and Sarah Sheldon found in the Ottawa, Ontario census of 1861, 1871 and 1881. George is listed as being born in about 1810 in Montreal, Quebec. Sarah is given a birthdate of about 1816 in Ireland although a family tree seems to list her as born in New Hampshire.

I also see a George Sheldon in the census in Orford, NH in 1840 where Henry and Martha were supposed to have been born.

I'm not sure if the George and Sarah of Ottawa are George A. Sheldon and Sarah Avery.
