I have Hawkins in my line and altho some of the names are the same they don't quite match.Not sure if they are just NOT related or if some of your info was given to you incorrectly, or mine given to me wrong. I will endeavor to explain these remarks here: I have a Uriah b. 30 July 1707 son of William Hawkins,who is son of William who lived in Providence,RIThe Wm that is father of Uriah married 14 Dec 1704 to Elizabeth Arnold, who remarried, after Wm death, to Israel Smith 3 June 1718. Jabesh Hawkins, 10th child of Abraham Hawkins b. 26 Mar 1760, Providence, RI is descended from the family above, I'm not sure just how.
Abraham Hawkins married to Lydia Bucklin 15 Dec 1780 and had 10 children together.Lydia died 16 Feb 1798 and Abraham married again to Elizabeth Perry 20 Jan 1799 and they had 9 children together.
The first child born to Abraham & Lydia is George Washington Hawkins born 7 Jan 1782. The information I have is not indexed & I don't recall any Sheldon on this line, however, if any of this makes sense to you, let me know & I will keep searching further for you.
