I have received verification that my conclusions about Gene Sheldon being originally Gene Search are correct. The creator of one of the Zorro websites passed my research on to a Gene Sheldon family member, who indicated that Search was the original family name, that my information was pretty much correct, and that Gene chose the name "Sheldon" from a street sign in Columbus. I'm glad that my efforts were rewarded and that, though I'm not likely related to Gene, those of Search ancestry now know they have the opportunity to research their relationship to him. Roy Sheldon
