Hello William: Your post appears to be a 'shot in the dark' with fingers crossed. I wondered why a DUPUY post was placed upon the Shelby surname message board? I think you have guessed that Rev.James Dupuy must have died in Shelby County, Woodford County, or Oldham County, Kentucky. I did my best to learn whether Rev. Dupuy's grave was listed anyplace on the internet without success and probably tred in your 'footsteps.' Have you tried posting your query at the Shelby County, Kentucky, message board?

Having some experience with old Kentucky cemeteries, I can tell you that many lay undiscovered. Some have been destroyed, and many persons were buried without an engraved marker. Also, many engraved markers have disappeared over time due to weather, falling limbs, and the like. Sometimes animals knock the stones to the ground and, in time, they go underground.

One would think that a Baptist minister was buried in a Baptist church yard. Your search probably does rely upon information from some soul who knows the answer and happens to read your query. I would not hold my breathe on this one.
