I am seeking information on Jonathan Shelby, son of Garrison Shelby. He was born ca 1839 and died 25 May 1869 in Richland County, Illinois. I have down that he was murdered and his killer was never caught. My question, is this correct and does anyone know any details about this? I apparently neglected to put down my source and I have no idea where I came up with this.
Any information would be appreciated.
