Thank you so much for your response to my posting. In fact, I see that I have other postings from you in years past!! This Shelby line has been an ongoing project for many years. I have corresponded with both Johnnie Johnson and Judy Trolinger about this line many times, but I still keep hoping!!
I believe that Isaac is a son of David's - but I know proving it is something else. My sister in law is here now working with me. Her daughter would like to go into DAR on this line, if possible, although it won't be through Isaac, as he is too young. I just want the lineage question solved!!
I have not been to White County, Illinois, but I have been to Salt Lake City many times, and I believe I have most, if not all of the land records for Isaac and some for David, plus wills, probate records, etc. We are trying to make sense of them now. My sister in law and husband are retired so they may well be heading to Illinois to do some research there.
