I have death certificate #47993 for Lemuel Evart Shelby.
States he was born in Smith County, Texas 20 Nove 1876 and died in Austin, Travis County, Texas 18 Oct 1938. States as occupation that he is clerk of State Department of Education.
Says he is married.
Spouse: Mabel Claire Wright Shelby
Father: John McNutt[sp] Shelby born Alabama
Mother: Josephine Jackson born Texas
States that he was buried in Oakwood Cemetery 20 Oct 1938.
Informant: T.H. Shelby [I would assume this is Thomas Hall Shelby]
