Selby / Shelby Marriages
Listed in St. Carons / Tregaron CPD 101 File:

1699 John Selby (sp = like Johes or Jolses) to (el) Margaretta

1NV 1701 Thomas Selby to Maria

5MY 1714 Rowlandi Shelby to Caimera Davies...yes, Davies.

9FB 1717 Evan Shelby to Catherine Morgan (I confirm Morgan and although date at top of page says 1716/17 the entry ends with 'Ano Dom 1717' so it was not 1716.

Other marriages of interest (at least to me, were, and these do not have any wive's names):

JL 1685 Evanna Helms of Morganetta [sp]
JL 1683 Riceius [sp] Phillip of Rlamhia [sp]
JL 1683 Riceius [sp] Evans of Cathseina [sp]
MY 1680 Riceius [sp] Evan of Gvenlliana [sp]

...but no marriage of a Phillip Selby to Margaretta at all, only a Margaretta born to Phillip Selby and baptism entry right after in 1673. (Things were easy enough to find with big X's next to most of the Shelby entries from, I presume, my Aunt Ruby - RJS.)

The following I can confirm of Judy Trolinger's work here:

Also, could not find Rowlandi Selby's birth record.
Also, the Margaretta birth and chr as stated (1673) but cannot confirm date of 26SP.

These may be a new finds:

Maria f Roland Shelby 1714

I can confirm the births of Elinora, Ana and Maria to John but not a 'Reese'.

The Shelby baptisms between 1720 and 1731, I can confirm:
Rachel f Riceius 1721
Ellinora f Rowlandi 1722
Maria f Riceis 1723
John f Evan 1723
Evan f Rowlandi 1725
Moses f Evani 1728
Elinora f Evan 1730
Elizabeth f Rowland 1731
with Evan f Evani Shelby being different as January 8 1720.
