Hi Sharon,
James Shehan (Sheehan) was the son of John Shehan and Sara. John Shehan's parents were John Shahen born about 1775 and Mary Geyer born 1783 married about 1802. The "History of Mifflin County PA" 1879, Vol 1, p. 98 under James Shahen (my gg grandfather and brother of your gg grandfather) states that James' father was John Shahen, born in Cumberland county, raised up to manhood and married in Lancaster county (to Mary Geyer), and then removed to Fayette county, and about 1811 settled in Mifflin county. Also the "Biographical Encyclopedia of Juniata Valley PA," 1897, pp. 602-603 under the biography of John C. Shahen, names the eight children of John Shahen and Mary Geyer, including James (my gg grandfather married to Mary Todd) who resided in Mifflin county, and John who resided in Johnstown (your gg grandfather married to Sara).
I would like to know of the descendants of your grand father, John H. Sheehan.
Please respond to me at peshahen@aol.com
Patricia
