Well, actually I have found more information on the West Sheffield from Northamptom Co., NC, the uncle of your West Sheffield from Duplin Co., NC. West Sheffield actually lived on the banks of the Satilla River in what is now Brantley Co. GA, and is now the Satilla River Club. I have a picture of his tombstone and his second wife, Martha Randall. My West Sheffield actually fought in the Revolutionary War, but not from Wayne Co. GA, but from "The Carolinas" under General Francis Marion, along with the rest of my relatives from all sides of the family. I am trying to track that down. The PeeDee River was host to all the sides of my family that we are researching. Can pick up a Pliny Sheffield, a Bryant Sheffield, and Flora in censuses in Thomas Co. GA and Hamilton Co. FL-same names as your Sheffields, but a different family connection. Nancy
