This West is from Northampton and is the brother to Ephraim, Arthur, John, Isham, William and Martha. The second West is son of brother John born in 1788.

West Sheffield served as a private from Wayne County Georgia, for which service he was granted bounty land -- he was born in North Carolina and died in Wayne County, GA.

Flora Sheffield, born 5 December, 1790 GA., married William Adkins. Floey, married William Akin (Akins, Aiken, Aikens), moved to Hamilton Co. FL-their son, Sherrod Sheffield Akins ended up with West Sheffield's property on the banks of the Altamaha in Wayne Co
