I am very interested in this William Sheely.
On the 1850 Colorado Co.TX census he is living with William Stagner. Except the spelling looks like "Shelby".
In 1852 William "Sheee" married Kathrine Stagner in Colorado Co. TX. I went to Colorado Co. and looked at the marriage record. It really does say Sheee. (Also looked for land records. Can't find anything interesting in Colorado Co. I have the land records from the Texas Land Office.)
On the 1860 Fayette Co.TX census William Sheely is living (near William Stagner) with his wife, Katherine and their children:
Ellen E.
Annie Eliza (my line..married Willia David Chandler)
William H.
J.J.

By 1864 William Sheely has died because Katherine Sheely marries Albert Phillips in Fayette Co.TX.
On the 1880 Fayette Co.TX census the "stepson" John Sheely, 29 years old is living in the Albert Phillips home.

When William's daughter Annie Eliza Sheely married Willam DAvid Chandler in 1856, Annie's name is spelled "Shelly".

I have tried to figure out who Ellen E. married because I believe that that daughter moved to Ada OK. I also believe that I have pictures of Ellen. But I don't know. The picture doesn't have a name on it.
