My family is from Springmount in Rathkeale, Limerick. In 1866 a Mary Kate Sheehy (Mother Gertrude) arrived from Irelland to Bathurst in N.S.W. to found the Sisters of Mersy in Australia. She was followed by her sister Charlotte Anne in 1868 (Sr Bernard). In 1898 thier nneice Sr Patrick (allso Charlotte) professed in Bathurst. THese are all related to me and there were reputed to be ather relatives which i would like to trace . the only clue i haave to them is the surname Ievers who were supposed to be ccousins. I would be grateful for any information on any decendants. The first 2 named parents were Edward Sheehy and Mary Anne De Courcy Sheehy. I have been in Australia since 1973.
