Seeking Information on Hannah Sheehan Connor of Co. Kerry, Ireland
Hello All!
I am seeking information on Hannah Sheehan who was born around 1788 in County Kerry, Ireland.I do not know much about the family so I hope that someone may be able to shed some light on them.Hannah was baptised on 20 January 1789 in the Roman Catholic Church in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. She was the daughter of Thomas Sheehan and Nora Houlihan.Thomas and Nora were probably born during the 1760s based upon the baptismal dates of their children. The couple had at least two other children, also named Thomas (b. 1786) and Nora (b. 1795).
Hannah married Daniel Connor (b. 1793) on 31 January 1809 in Killarney.They had at least seven children, I believe:Thomas (born c. 1815), Nora (1816), Denis (1822), Jeremiah (1824), Michael (1825), Mary (1829), and Paterick (1832).
Hannah and Daniel's oldest son, Thomas O'Connor, immigrated to the United States in the 1840s or 50s (during the famine). He settled in Carlisle Township, Lorain County, Ohio and married Mary Whelan. They had six children, Anna (1857), Marcella (1860), Mary Ellen (1861), James Joseph (1863), Teresa Jane (1865), and John Francis (1868).All of their children lived in the Elyria and Lorain areas save James, who moved to California.
If any of this history sounds familiar, please do not hesitate to contact me.I hope that I can found out more about this family.
Thank you,
Sarah
