These are not the same Bridgets. Bridget Doerfler was married to G. Frederick Doerfler. Her parents were John Sheehan and Mary Devine. The two households lived next a few houses from each other in Springfield. Bridget Doerfler nee Sheehan had several brothers and sisters. They were John (b) in Vermont, Michael (b) in Vermont, Mary (b) in Vermont, William (b) in IL, Edward (b) in IL. Bridget was also born in IL. Brodget's parents were not James and Ellen.

I have the records to verify this. Additionally, G.F. Doerfler and Bridget were my great grandparents. My father can also verify his great grandparent's names of John Sheehan and Mary Devine. They also show up on the 1880 census next door to the Doerflers.
