Rev. M. A. Sheehan O.P.
Posted by: Austin Gibbons (ID *****2549) Date: November 28, 2008 at 11:43:07

About 30 or so years ago an elderly aunt of my wife gave me a beautiful solid silver rosary with the following inscription (in cursive) on the back of the crucifix:
Rev. M. A. Sheehan O.P. July 19, 1885 - 1910.
If that aunt told me about the Rev. Sheehan I have forgotten the story. I assume the silver rosary commemorated the 25th anniversary of his ordination. My wife's aunt's family name was Gingras and they were from Montreal, Canada so I suppose it is possible he was a Canadian.
Any information about him would be welcome.
Thank you.
