I found a book at the genealogy library tonight that gives an entire lineage of the Sheedy/Silk/Sioda Macnamara line clear back to Adam. It is called "Irish Pedigrees or The Origin and Stem of The Irish Nation," by John O'Hart. What a lineage, relating to John the Conquerer and the Lords of Bunratty. Wow.
