Shears, from Hardy Co. WV to Ross Co, OH by 1857

Jacob Shears, b. ca. 1835 in Hardy Co., VA (now WV) was in Ross Co., OH, by 1857, when he married Elizabeth McWhirt. His parents were William Shears and Lucinda Steel, but I have little info on them, and NOTHING on the McWhirt line. Any information on these lines will be appreciated. Thanks.
