Marvin Shearer,(1871-1939) NY>Akron, Summit Co., Ohio, married Gertrude Wilhelm (1872-1935)
Marvin was an artist. In 1928 he painted a large painting called "Ben Hur's Chariot Race" this painting may have been exibited in the National Museum in DC also Metropolitian Musume of Art in New York. He also had a painting called "Christ before Pilet" and a large painting of a Seneca Chief.
He also was famous for a clock he made, finished in 1933, called "The Electric Wonder"Marvin and Gertrude had six children, Ernest, Robert, Clarence, Curtis, Frances and Helen.His father was Hiram Shearer and his mother Amelia, both from N.Y.. if you know anything of Marvin either as an artist or his genealogical line please contact me.Donna [email protected]
