I'm glad you sent them -- I didn't have the 2nd article as my folks only get the G-burg Times. This is my work email so I did'nt see your posts until today. My husband is subscribed to so many lists at home that I can never find my email in amongst all of his messages : )
Have you done - or are you doing - a Sheads geneology? Uncle Met (really my grandfather's younger brother) always told me that my cousin Mike had done one but I've never seen it. My husband is so involved with tracing his family line that we haven't pursued mine. Ever since I was little, we used to go around the Battlefield and the cemeteries and was told the history of our family but I always kind of took it for granted. In the last 2 years, my Uncle Bob and Uncle Met died and they were the 2 who were really up on the Battle and our family. My Dad knows a lot of it, but living in Michigan, didn't keep as current with it. My grandfather made me a photo album of our relatives back through his grandparents.
Again, thanks for sending the articles.
Cindy McCain
