Still looking for the ancestors of Ruth Shaw born in NH, but moved with her family to Mercer, Maine. She was born abt 1804 in NH married James Trench of Norridgewock, Maine probably in Mercer, in 1832.
According to the 1860 census, her mother, born in NH, was living with the Trench family in Norridgewodk, Maine. At that time she was 81. Her name was hard to read, but might have been Marion or Marian,
A possible brother, William Shaw is buried with his family in Mercer, Maine.
William Shaw might have been the son of a Samuel Shaw from NH, but there are many Samuel Shaws in NH and I can't find a listing of his children.
Any help, clues, etc. greatly appreciated.
