From the California Death Records on Rootsweb.com. Do these dates match the birth/death dates on their tombstones, to verify these are the right people?

See the volunteer named Dianne in San Diego County. It says she does death record transcriptions. Maybe she can help you with both William/Margaret's records? Worth a try.

-----------------------------
Look at the volunteer named Brenda Wiesner under the heading "ALL". Perhaps she can locate obituaries for Margaret and William, which will hopefully give the names of their parents.

Philip, if all else fails in finding the parents of both William and Margaret, here is a site with instructions for ordering copies of their death certificates.

Good luck with your research....Pauline
