Hi Richard, I just found your posting. I have a Henry Shaver born in OH about 1823, moved to NY about 1845, married Louisa Hill 1848 and lived in Manlius, NY 'till about 1856 then moved to DeKalb, IL area where he died about 1865.
Some of the descendants were named (Elmer, Walter {ggrandsons}), (Andrew grandson), and (Wallace son). Would like to compare notes with you on your family.
