I have made a major update to the web site of John Shaver and his wife Mary Blackwelder, who were married ca. 1769 in what is now Cabarrus County, North Carolina. I have included a lot of source material, including all of their known descendants in the US censuses from 1790-1900 (all that I could find, anyway). I also included those with the Shaver surname in the censuses from 1910-1930. The number of known descendants (at current count) in my database is well over 6,000. There is also a link to a new DNA project to help establish John Shaver's relationship to others of similar surnames (Schaeffer, etc.) from Germany.
