Frank's parents were Frank Mellinger and Minnie Harringer.

Minnie subsequently married William Harrison Horace Greely Shattuck.

One of the sources for that part of the Shattuck family is Beatrix Marie Shattuck's "Shattuck Memorials No. II, 1977."
