Rebeka Shattuck was born Oct. 28th, 1820, in Leyden, MA, and married Samuel H. Shattuck of that place, Sept. 22nd, 1842. Mr. Shattuck was born Oct. 28th, 1808, and died Jan. 5th, 1873. He came into the town in 1842, and was engaged in farming until 1870, when he retired from active life and removed to Gainesville, Wyoming Co., NY. He was a prominent member of the Methodist Church, with which Mrs. Shattuck is also connected.
