Hello,
I am moving into the Shattuck house in Clintonville a neighborhood in Columbus. The house has the letters "SH----tuck" on the front of it, but now with a door for the balcony cutting down the middle of it. I was told be the Clintonville Historical Society that, "The 1872 map of Clinton Township shows the property, 10.4 acres owned by the heirs of Alex Shattuck. The 1883 map shows the property was divided between Amelia, Celia & Margaret Shattuck. The 1914 map show area with strrets laid out, no poperty owners shown for the area."

I was hoping you might be able to shed some light on the history of the family and the house. It is an odd style of architecture for the area, almost mediterranean.
Thank you,
Maggie
