Was the Mary of Corfe the d.of Samuel& Mary Shattock and did she have a brother John?? I followed this John to a marriage to Mary Moses hoping they would be parents of John Shattock born about 1779, died Bristol 1841(at 42) but Somerset Archives said no connection. I would appreciate any info on this man; John Shattock, died Westbury on Trym, buried at St John on the Wall. Married Ann May, 1809 St Pauls, Portland Sq. Bristol. He was the father of James May Shattock owner of a large Saddlers Ironmongers in Bristol. John was the innkeeper at the Globe, and later lived at the White Horse in W0T.
