Adrian Daily Telegram, Sunday, January 13, 2008, pg A2 Marvin G. Sharrock Obit DEERFIELD — Marvin G. Sharrock, 62, of Deerfield went to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, Jan. 10, 2008, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. Marvin was born on March 2, 1945, in Adrian, the son of Lester Sharrock and Helena (Perry) Sharrock. On Nov. 3, 1972, he was married to the former Floryann Miller. She survives. Marvin served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He had been employed with Peerless Gear in Clinton for 29 years of his life. After working there, Marvin worked in Garden Produce and became the Market Master of the Adrian and Blissfield Farm Markets until becoming ill in October of 2007. In earlier years, Marvin attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield and he was a current member of the Blissfield American Legion Post #325. Some of Marvin’s favorite pastimes included spending time with his family and going bowling with his sons. He loved to visit and play cards with friends at the farmers’ market. He also enjoyed hunting in earlier years and especially trapping right up until his illness. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Surviving is his wife, Floryann Sharrock of Deerfield, Mich.; three sons, Marvin (Amy) Sharrock of Lake Somerset, Mich., Abraham Sharrock of Bedford, Mich., and Nathan (Michelle) Sharrock of Britton, Mich.; one grandson, Reece Britten, and two granddaughters, Keelin and Samantha Sharrock; a brother, Harley (Gaynelle) Sharrock of Deerfield, Mich.; a sister, Deloris (Tom) Denniss of Petersburg, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Cathy Sharrock of Wisconsin; an aunt, Carrie Wandt of Deerfield, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother and a brother, Sherman Sharrock. A visitation for Marvin will be held on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Tagsold Funeral Home in Blissfield, during which time a scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. with Father Jack Loughran officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. I do not research this family.
